I loved this story. It was so beautifully written, and the wonderful descriptions of the town, it's people, and the beauiful landscapes took my breath away. The characters were all so believable, and realistic dialogue between al of the characters, automatically drew the readers into the scenes. It made you feel as though you were actually there, watching this whole story unfold before your very own eyes.This story made me cry like a baby one minute, and had me laughing the next. Of course this slow building romance was also very beautiful. Little Jesse and the animals stole my heart, as did most of the people in the town. It's a great read, and now I can't wait to read more.

I do not like to give bad reviews, but I just couldn't t get into this book. It might be that it's book 4 of this series and it's one that needs to be read in order to understand all the characters, but I just could not feel any connection to the story or characters. I was lost in most of the scenes and I finally stopped struggling to get into the book. I didn't finish the book and stopped reading at 19%. I'm sorry; I really tried to stay with it.
I LOVE this series. If I am in the mood for a feel good romance book these are great without all the vulgar descriptions.
Aaron Hammond lost his wife in a tragic way and five years later he still has not been able to move forward. Skye Hathaway is in Northstar to take a much needed break as well as use her skills as a photographer. With her divorce pending she is not sure if she wants to get involved again with another man but with a little help from Aaron's daughter, Aaron and Skye find themselves spending time together. Can both move past their fears in order to build a future.
This is one of those books that just makes you smile. You feel for the characters and you feel like you are right along side them on their journey. I was entertained and liked the wholesomeness of the story.
Good story line but found a few spelling and grammatical errors which interrupted a smooth reading Having said that I did enjoy the characters. The story takes place in a small, close-knit, friendly town in Montana. A young woman photographer just divorced after a very unhappy marriage goes to this town to heal and a young deputy widower of this town with a little girl who is having trouble moving on with his life after the death of his wife. After reading several of this author’s books I am looking forward to reading more. She has a special way of helping her readers feel part of the story. I highly recommend her books. I give her a rating of four only because of the errors which interrupted the flow of my reading.

Easy to follow stand-alone. No editing errors, graphic violence or drag-you-down drama.
The storyline is a plug and play. The believable characters and realistic dialogue draw the reader into the scenes.

First book with another family in Montana..all neighbors and friends of long standing. Really part of the Montana and Summer Angel series but. Different characters lives ad central theme. All the same characters are there so it is like visiting old friends and catching up on each other.. This is Deputy Aaron's and his daughter Jesse' s story. Beautifully written, I cried, I laughed, I cheered and a couple of times could have even punched some ones lights out. Now I have to wait for more books to be written, and I will miss everyone. I await next book, waiting on pins and needles.
Skye & Aaron are likable characters and seem perfect for each other from the start. Of course, both are wary because of history with their former spouses - Aaron lost his wife tragically while Skye is coming out of a disastrous marriage. Sometimes it feels like they’re going around in the same circles, but thankfully they get it sorted out. It was a little hard to keep track of all of the secondary characters in the beginning. It would probably easier if you’ve read the previous books in the series. Characters alluded to events that were probably part of those books too. There were some minor editing errors, but they are not distracting. In all, it was an enjoyable read.
